2010 YEAR END UPDATE

During the 2010 season, Suncoast Volleyball Club grew to 15 teams, and over 150 athletes ages 8-18.

We provided Local and Regional teams that were geared toward player development. The Local and Regional teams participated in 3-4 local one-day tournaments and 2-3 two-day tournaments in the Tampa/Clearwater Area.

Our National Teams were geared more toward the highly competitive athletes and teams. The National teams competed in 7-8 two-day tournaments and 2 three-day tournaments.

In addition, a few teams will be competing in AAU Nationals in Orlando in June. Tournaments were held in Tampa, Clearwater, Orlando, Atlanta, and Sarasota.

THIS PAST YEARS SUCCESSES

• National teams were very competitive (17,14,13,) all winning tournaments• 15’S, 16’s and 18’s finished 2nd or 3rd in many

• Our regional teams played hard and normally finished in the top of the Silver or Bronze Division

• Local Teams- Our 10's and 12's both won 2 tournaments

• Finding ways to make our club run more efficiently

• Finding ways to make our club more affordable, without losing the competitiveness

• Defining what the 2011 Suncoast athletes, parents, and coaches would resemble

• Finding ways to keep our club competitive without sacrificing our integrity and values and while modeling our club mission statement.

ABOUT OUR TRAVEL TEAMS

FUNDRAISING FOR TUITION

Suncoast offers a variety of ways to make participation in volleyball affordable.

1) Sponsorships-athletes can solicit sponsors. 70% of the sponsorship fee's go towards the athletes tuition. Email Jeff at jhorr@suncoastvolleyball.com for a sponsorship form.
